Ghana President, Akufo-Addo, has advised the leadership of the Ghana Football Association, to not interfere in Black Stars manager Otto Addo’s job.
The President, thus, wants the former Ghana international to be given free role in deciding which player gets invitation to represent Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The Black Stars head to the global showpiece next month with high hopes of making it past the Group stage despite being in Group H with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
Mr. Akufo-Addo hopes Otto Addo would be given the power to choose the right players to play at the World Cup.
"Having chosen the Technical team, I will also explore, you leave the to do their work.
"I think the people who run football clubs know what is required of a good coach. He takes the responsibility, if he doesn't know what to do with him.
"What's is always a problem is minister saying, this person should play. Noon, we don't want any of that,"
The President, however, strongly believes that Otto Addo and his technical team have what it takes to guide the Black Stars to make significant impact at the tournament in Qatar.
"We have confidence in the Team you have chosen. I think we have got a very good team.
"We have a very good set of people to guide our players.
"Let's leave it to them and their professional judgement to decide the best possible combinations for us."
Meanwhile, the Black Stars, will open a 10-day camping in Abu Dhabi on 10th November, 2022 ahead of their final pre-World Cup friendly against Switzerland on November, 17.
