2019 Ghana Football Association presidential aspirant, Amanda Clinton believes Kurt Okraku has performed fairly well as the leader of the country’s football governing body.
Kurt Okraku has been the president of the Ghana Football Association after winning the elections in 2019.
Despite her fair assessment to Kurt Okraku, Amanda Clinton believes the optics are not good for him because he poised to contest for re-election without a challenger.
“Optics-wise, it’s going to look really bad because he is the incumbent. He’s done a fairly decent job because of COVID…so to sit there as a de facto dictator-like figure when last four years we had I think six contenders, does not showing anything of clearing the rot per say,” she told Citi Sports.
“I think optics-wise, it’s the worst decision he could have made because he is the incumbent so he really could have won in any case but he seems to be fearful for some reason,” she added.
