Dreams FC’s General Manager, Ameenu Shardow, has unveiled a surge of interest from various African clubs, notably reigning champions Zamalek from the 2018/19 season, in several of the team’s players.
This disclosure intensifies speculation regarding the potential exit of key players such as Abdul Azziz Issah.
Shardow made these revelations during an interview on Citi TV on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, stating that discussions with interested clubs have commenced but are still in preliminary stages.
“Almost the whole team have attracted interest from some clubs in Africa, but those are just conversations.
“After losing to Zamalek, before they left to Cairo, they left us some email about certain players in our team.”
Despite Dreams FC’s historic journey to the semi-finals, marking the first time a Ghanaian team achieved this feat since 2004, the club faces the prospect of significant player departures as they navigate this newfound attention.
