Ameenu Shadow, the General Manager of Dreams FC, has confirmed that he is in talks with the Ghana Football Association about the possibility of becoming the next team manager for the Black Stars.
Local media had previously reported that Shadow had already been appointed as the national team manager ahead of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers. In an interview with Oyerepa FM in Kumasi, Shadow stated that although there is no official confirmation yet, discussions are ongoing.
“The truth of the matter is that there have been talks, we have had discussions. There is no confirmation now but the truth of the matter is that there’s been discussions with respect to that position. “he said.
The Black Stars will face Angola in a qualifier match at Baba Yara Stadium on March 23, 2023, followed by a reverse fixture in Luanda four days later.
Currently, the Black Stars lead Group E of the qualifiers with four points, followed by Angola who also have four points, while the Central African Republic and Madagascar follow in that order.
