Anderlecht winger Francis Amuzu is now eligible to play for the Black Stars after making the switch from Belgium according to 3Sports.
In a letter to FIFA sighted by 3Sports, Amuzu explained that his parents are Ghanaian and hence wants to play for the country his parents were born in.
“The motivation behind this decision is that I deem it an obligation to play for my mother country since my parents are Ghanaian,” he said.
The 23-year-old has made 18 appearances in the Belgium top-flight this season, scoring three goals.
He had played for Belgium’s U-18 and U-21 sides.
