Joseph Paintsil has expressed his love for former Black Stars midfielder, Anthony Annan.
After making his debut with the Black Stars in 2007, Annan received 64 caps for Ghana netting 10 goals. Between 2009 and 2010, the defensive midfielder played a key role for the national team.
Paintsil, who has been in excellent form for C Genk, told Joy Sports he grew up admiring the former Hearts of Oak star who amused him at the time.
“We had one midfielder, Anthony Annan [Pablo]. When I started watching the Black Stars he [Anthony Annan] was the one who entertained me,” he said.
“I really liked him [because, in the midfield of the park, nobody could go past him].”
Paintsil added he grew up falling in love with the defensive midfield role.
