Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo is eager to have his future sorted before the January 1 opening of the transfer window.
The 25-year-old has reportedly agreed to join Manchester City after Bournemouth accepted the Premier League champions’ offer. City are expected to trigger Semenyo’s £65 million release clause before it expires on January 10, though Liverpool could still make a late attempt to sign him.
While Manchester City remain the favourites, Bournemouth reportedly want Semenyo available for their festive fixtures against Arsenal and Tottenham before he moves to the Etihad Stadium.
Semenyo is determined to complete his dream move in early January to avoid last-minute complications. The versatile attacker has been in excellent form, scoring nine league goals so far this season, building on a standout campaign last season.
Other top clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur, had also shown interest in the former Bristol City player.
