Vincent Sowah Odotei, a board member of Hearts of Oak, has strongly responded to accusations leveled against him and his colleague Alhaji Akambi, suggesting that they are the root cause of the club’s problems.
Both Odotei and Akambi have consistently faced criticism from fans for the team’s struggles in recent years. They have been held responsible for poor recruitment decisions and the frequent sacking of coaches.
However, Odotei is now challenging those making such claims to provide concrete evidence to support their allegations.
In an interview with Oyerepa FM, Odotei stated, “Anybody at all can wake up and say we are destroying the club, give evidence, back it with evidence”
“All those who say Odotei and Akambi are the problem of Hearts of Oak must bring evidence and demonstrate that we are the problem of Hearts of Oak.
“The king himself has said he is not stupid to invest his money and put us in place [to mismanage].”
Hearts of Oak narrowly avoided relegation from the Ghana Premier League on the final day of the season, securing a crucial draw against Berekum Chelsea.
Despite this challenging season, Odotei is adamant in his stance against the accusations and challenges anyone to provide substantial proof of their wrongdoing.
