Cypriot giants APOEL Nicosia have successfully secured the signing of Ghanaian prodigy Charles Yaw Appiah in the ongoing transfer window. The 18-year-old midfielder, who has drawn comparisons to world great Lionel Messi for his exceptional dribbling skills, joins the club from Ghanaian lower-tier outfit Cheetah FC.
Appiah has penned a three-year contract with the Cypriot outfit, keeping him at the club until summer 2027. He will initially join the second team before being promoted to play with the senior team.
The talented left-footed player, who can play as a right winger and an attacking midfielder, has been tipped to attain greater heights of his career. His outstanding performance for Cheetah FC in the Division Two League has earned him a remarkable move to Cyprus to continue his playing career.
Appiah traveled to Europe last year for training observations, and it’s no surprise he has finally secured a move abroad. With his impressive skills and potential for growth, he is expected to make a significant impact at APOEL Nicosia and potentially become a key player for the team in the future.
