Carlisle United, have announced the loan signing of Ghanaian promising attacker Ephraim Yeboah from Bristol City.

Yeboah, 19, joins the Blues from the Robins until the end of the season to bolster United’s promotion push, with the deal also covering any potential involvement in the Enterprise National League play-offs.

Born in Montirone, Italy, he moved to England at the age of seven and began his first footballing steps at Bristol-based independent football academy, Inner Bristol City, where he consistently hit double figures as a youngster.

He joined Bristol City’s academy at 14, quickly impressing and playing up with the under-21s side after just a year at the Robins.

Ephraim was soon fast-tracked to the first team set-up, joining the senior squad then managed by former Blues boss Nigel Pearson on the 2023 pre-season tour of Austria before signing his first professional deal on his 17th birthday.

A first team debut came on Wednesday 9 August 2023, featuring in a 5-1 EFL Cup win against Oxford United, and he continued to impress from the bench.

Bath City came calling on loan in February 2024, and he made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut against Braintree Town, adding one further goal in ten appearances for the Romans.

Yeboah joined Doncaster Rovers on loan in June 2024 to gain further experience up the football pyramid, where he made 15 appearances, finding the net twice in the EFL Trophy.

He was recalled by the Robins in January 2025 and sent to Dunfermline Athletic on loan to help the Pars to survival in the William Hill Championship, featuring 16 times.

Head Coach, Mark Hughes said: “We are delighted to welcome Ephraim to the club at this important time of the season.

“He will bring strong attributes in terms of pace and goalscoring ability, combined with valuable experience for his age.

“His versatility allows him to operate across all forward positions, and, in addition, he will strengthen the squad depth and provide important options in attacking areas for the team and me.”

Recruitment Analyst, Jacob Blain added: “A versatile forward was something we were searching for going into the final push, and as soon as we knew about Ephraim’s availability, we had to move quickly to beat off stiff competition.

“Ephraim brings real pace to our forward line. We are delighted to get this over the line.”

Ephraim will wear the number 25 shirt during his spell at Brunton Park and is eligible to make his debut at Braintree Town this Saturday.
