Arsenal and Chelsea eyeing summer move for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus

Reports suggest that Arsenal and Chelsea are eyeing a summer move for Mohammed Kudus, but West Ham United is poised to maintain a tough stance on the Ghanaian midfielder.

According to Fichajes, both Arsenal and Chelsea have shown interest in acquiring Mohammed Kudus during the upcoming transfer window. The Blues are reportedly willing to table a bid of €45 million for the midfielder, signaling their strong desire to secure his services. However, West Ham United is unlikely to entertain offers anywhere near that price range.

Mohammed Kudus raised eyebrows when he opted to join West Ham United despite attracting interest from several other top clubs. The London club secured his services for around €43 million, a fee deemed acceptable by Ajax.

Kudus has made an impressive impact since arriving at the London Stadium, tallying 13 goals and providing three assists in 30 appearances across all competitions. His stellar performances have reignited interest from clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom are considering making moves for him in the summer.

While West Ham United might be open to selling Kudus if the right offer comes along, they are unlikely to consider Chelsea’s reported bid of €45 million. The club has a reputation for demanding significant fees for their players, especially young talents with promising futures.

Therefore, any negotiations for Kudus are expected to be intense, with West Ham likely to hold out for a much higher price than Chelsea’s initial offer.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are contemplating midfield changes ahead of the summer transfer window. Arsenal, in particular, are reportedly considering the sale of Emile Smith Rowe, which could explain their interest in Kudus as a potential replacement.

Similarly, Chelsea might part ways with Conor Gallagher, with Tottenham expressing interest in the midfielder. Kudus presents an attractive option for both clubs, offering the creative output and quality needed to bolster their midfield options.
