Premier League sides Arsenal and Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo.
The 24-year-old has impressed with his performances this season, scoring three goals in seven league appearances, catching the eye of the two clubs who are preparing to make a move in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Fichajes, both Arsenal and Newcastle are ready to table a €40 million bid for the Ghanaian forward. Bournemouth, however, may hold out for a higher fee given Semenyo’s contract, which runs until 2029, and his rising stock as a talented winger with potential.
Arsenal are in the market for a versatile winger who can bolster their squad depth, particularly with the demands of competing in multiple competitions. Semenyo’s arrival would offer Mikel Arteta more options to rotate his attack, giving key players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli much-needed rest without compromising the team’s attacking threat. The Gunners also see him as a valuable addition for their UEFA Champions League campaign.
Newcastle United, on the other hand, are also monitoring Semenyo’s situation closely. The Magpies are eager to add more firepower to their attack alongside Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, and Semenyo’s creativity and goal-scoring ability could be the perfect fit for Eddie Howe’s ambitions as they aim to continue their rise in English football.
Both clubs are set to battle it out for the winger’s signature, and it remains to be seen where Semenyo will land as the January transfer window approaches.
