Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey could be set for a contract extension with the Gunners as his representatives, led by agent Jimenez Pozanco, have arrived in London to begin negotiations with the club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Ghanaian international, whose current deal runs until 2025, is reportedly keen on continuing his journey at the Emirates Stadium. According to sources close to the player, Partey remains fully committed to Arsenal and has no intention of joining another club at this time.
Mikel Arteta, a known admirer of Partey’s qualities, is also said to be open to extending the 30-year-old’s stay—but only for a maximum of two more years, taking into account Partey’s age and the club’s long-term plans.
Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020, has faced an injury-plagued campaign this season but remains a key figure in Arteta’s setup when fit.
Talks between the parties are expected to focus on duration, salary terms, and Partey’s role moving forward as Arsenal continue to build a squad capable of challenging on multiple fronts.
