Mohammed Kudus has caught the attention of Arsenal, who are the latest club to express interest in signing the midfielder this summer, according to chief writer of the Athletic, David Ornstein.
Gunners head coach, Mikel Arteta, has identified Kudus as an ideal fit to play the number 8 role under his management.
The Ajax midfielder has been sought after by top European clubs after his impressive performances at the 2022 World Cup and in the Dutch league. Other clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the 22-year-old attacker.
Kudus has scored 18 goals and provided 5 assists for Ajax in 34 games in all competitions this season, accumulating 26 goals and contributions for both club and country.
After a slight injury in Ajax’s 2-1 win over rivals Feyenoord in the semi-finals of the Dutch Cup, the former FC Nordsjaelland attacker resumed training on Wednesday, hoping to be fit ahead of their KNVB Cup final against PSV on Sunday at Stadion Feijenoord.
Kudus scored two goals for the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, cementing his reputation as one of the best U-23 players of the tournament.
