Legon Cities FC youngster Osman Amadu is says he’s extremely excited after scoring against a ‘big club’ like Accra Hearts of Oak in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at the El Wak Sports Stadium.
The youngster came from the bench to break the hearts of the Phobians after his well struck shot from inside the box in additional time period found the bottom right corner to earn a point for the Royals at home in their week 18 clash.
The 17-year-old said in a short video posted on the club’s social media pages: ”My name is Osman Amadu. As a young player from Division Two, I am extremely delighted to score against a big team like Hearts of Oak.”
”I am happy to score today and I dedicate this goal to my coach for everything he has taught me. I think we played well and a point against Hearts is good”, he said at the post match conference.
‘Coach just told me to go all out and enjoy myself because he know what I can do on the pitch. I had a difficult start but glad I was able to find my rhythm and net the equalizer.
”For us every game our target is the three points. We didn’t get it today but we will try to beat RTU and return to Accra with the three points.”
His goal preserved Maxwell Konadu’s unbeaten run against the Ghana Premier League Champions and also ensured that Hearts go five games without a single win.
