Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has declared his retirement from football.
The 37-year-old made his decision official at the African Export-Import Bank’s (Afreximbank) 30th annual meeting in Accra.
Gyan retires as Ghana’s all-time leading scorer, with 51 goals in 109 games.
He had an 18-year club career, beginning with Liberty Professionals in 2003 and ending with a brief stay at Legon Cities in 2021.
