Alhaji Raji, a former GHALCA Chairman, has advised Asamoah Gyan to put his world cup dreams aside ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

He doesn’t believe that Gyan should return as a player but if it is to serve in a technical capacity, it is acceptable.

Gyan has played in three world cups for Ghana, scoring six goals.

In the last few months, Gyan revealed his aim of returning to the team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

“Asamoah Gyan should forget about the Black Stars; he must not even dream of returning to the team. If others had done the same in the past would he have got the opportunity to play for the team?” he questioned.

“If he wants to serve in any technical capacity or play a role as an advisor to the striking department then that is fine, but as a player, he should forget it,” he stated.
