Dutch born Ghanaian striker Akwasi Asante says he is coping with his new position at National League side Chesterfield.
Asante has played as a centre-forward all his life but new Chesterfield manager Paul Cook is now using him as a number 10 because of his footwork.
The experienced forward admits the role is new to him but he is getting used to it.
“I have said to the manager that I will play wherever he wants me to play and I am enjoying it,” he said. “It is the first time in my career that I have played in that position, I am still learning, the gaffer talks me through it everyday in training. I try to improvise and do the best I can.”
Asante has netted four goals in 12 league games so far this season.
