An agreement has been reached between Asante Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea concerning the transfer of striker Kalo Quattara.
As confirmed by local transfer expert Mohammed Shaban, both clubs have successfully negotiated the transfer of this promising goal scorer, who gained significant attention during the previous season with Berekum Chelsea.
Kalo Quattara is scheduled to undergo a medical examination with Asante Kotoko in Kumasi next week, alongside his teammate Henry Ansu.
The decision for both Kalo Quattara and Henry Ansu to join Asante Kotoko comes after productive discussions with Berekum Chelsea, aiming to strengthen the squad for the upcoming 2023/24 league season.
These additions have been recommended by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and pending successful medical assessments, Kalo Quattara and Henry Ansu will be the latest talents to join the Asante Kotoko team, following the recent acquisition of former WAFA SC captain Michael Dwamena.
Dwamena’s arrival is a part of a two-year deal, filling the position vacated by skipper Richard Boadu, who departed for Al Ahly in Libya.
Kalo Quattara’s incorporation as the new striker for Kotoko is noteworthy, despite the team already boasting attacking talents like Steven Mukwala Dese, Isaac Oppong, Solomon Sarfo Taylor, and Samuel Boateng.
On a different note, Asante Kotoko has announced the commencement date for their preseason training in preparation for the 2023/24 league season.
Former champions of the Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko, will initiate their preseason activities on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.
The team’s first match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will take place against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
