Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of towering defender Musa Hamzata on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical.

The 22-year-old centre back joins from Accra Lions, where he made close to 50 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, scoring three goals and providing two assists. Standing at 1.92m, Hamzata adds height, presence, and composure to our back line.

Still only 22, Hamzata has quickly built a reputation as a solid defender with strong aerial ability and calmness under pressure. His frame and style of play make him a difficult opponent in duels, while his comfort on the ball allows him to contribute in build-up play.

Speaking to Kotoko media, Hamzata expressed his delight: “This is a huge step for me, and I’m grateful for the chance to wear the Kotoko shirt. I know the expectations here are very high, but I’m ready for that challenge. I want to grow as a player, help the team win trophies, and show that I can be one of the best defenders in the league.”
