Reigning Ghana Premier League Champions Asante Kotoko, have confirmed the signing of talented midfielder Rashid Nortey.
The midfielder joins the Porcupine Warriors on a two-and-half-year deal which will see him stay at the club until the middle of 2025.
Nortey left Medeama earlier this month after his contract with the Mauve and Yellow side ended last month.
The midfielder will look to bring his quality and experience to the Kotoko team as they seek to defend their league title from last season.
Announcing the player’s capture, Kotoko said: “Midfielder Rashid Nortey has signed for Asante Kotoko as a free player.
“Rashid has penned two and a half-deal after running down his contract with Medeama SC.
“Rashid comes with enormous quality and experience and will only improve our team to help us achieve our targets this season.
“We welcome our new signing and wish him all the best.”
He made over 100 appearances for the club during his time in Tarkwa going on to wear the team’s armband in the process.
