Asante Kotoko announces starting XI to face Hearts of Oak in Democracy Cup; Samba, Esmat, Antwi, others start

Asante  Kotoko deputy coach David Ocloo has named his starting XI to face  Hearts of Oak in the maiden Democracy Cup game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Coach Ocloo who takes over from Prosper Ogum due to the latter’s health issues has paraded a strong starting XI this evening. 

In his lineup,  Goalkeeper, Fredrick Asare has maintained his position. Justice Blay,  Samba Ndongani O’Neil, Emmanuel Kotei, and Abdulhamid Esmat make the defense tight.

New signing, Emmanuel Antwi will partner Ntim Manu and Baba Yahaya in midfield.

Amidu Acquah and Bernard Somuah will operate from the flanks with Kyei Baffour leading the lines for the Reds.
