Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has acknowledged that his team enters the upcoming match against Samartex FC as the underdog.
In the Week 27 fixture of the Ghana Premier League season, the Porcupine Warriors are set to face Samartex FC this weekend.
In an interview with Opemsuo Radio ahead of the game, Coach Ogum conceded that Samartex FC holds the upper hand as the favorites in the contest. Despite this, he expressed optimism about his team’s chances and their commitment to securing a positive result.
“Samartex FC needs to be commended for the consistency in their performance. They have done very well. For us at Kotoko, our performance is not that good, looking at our position on the league table. We are going into this game as underdogs,” Ogum stated.
Acknowledging the challenges, Ogum highlighted the team’s efforts to improve their performance and match Samartex FC’s level.
“As a team, we are aware of this, and we are working hard to get the results we are looking for. We are working on all aspects of the game to ensure we can match them boot for boot,” he affirmed.
The highly anticipated match between Asante Kotoko and Samartex FC is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 21, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
