Kessben Sports has gathered that the main bank account of Asante Kotoko has been frozen until further notice.
This decision was taken following the expiration of Nana Yaw Amponsah’s management tenure and Dr. Kwame Kyei’s chairmanship of the Board of Directors, prompting the club’s ownership to order an audit of the accounts.
As a result of the ongoing audit, no funds can currently be credited or debited from the club’s account. To manage day-to-day activities and other operational duties, an alternative account has been created for incoming and outgoing cash flows during this period.
The Interim Management Committee overseeing the club includes Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, who serves as the Kontomponiaferehene and is a chartered accountant.
Other members of the committee are former Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been appointed as the new head coach, and Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, who will serve as the administrative manager.
