On Monday afternoon, Asante Kotoko added more woes to that of Kotoku Royals with a 3-1 at Dawu.
The defending league winners dominated from the start, and it was no surprise that they easily surpassed Kotoku Royals throughout the game.
Georges Mfegue was on fire, scoring two goals in the first 28 minutes. Early on, Kotoko’s precise finishing placed him in command. However, Kotoku Royals managed to cut the gap in the 36th minute when forward Richard Dzikoe scored.
Kotoko returned to the pitch after the halfway break with fresh zeal, driving forward in pursuit of a third goal. Their perseverance paid off when Rocky Dwamena scored, securing the victory for his squad.
Kotoko proved their prowess on the pitch, putting in a superb effort and easily defeating the Kotoku Royals.
The victory catapulted Kotoko into the top four of the league standings, six points behind the league leaders with three games remaining.
