Asante Kotoko Board member, Kofi Amoa-Abban, is confident the Black Stars will make Ghanaians proud at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in the Group stage of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament. This was revealed on last Friday following the draw ceremony at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center in Qatar.

The Black Stars will square off against two time Champions Uruguay, former European Champions Portugal and Asian giants Korea Republic in Group H.

Ghana lost 2-1 to Portugal in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and lost to Uruguay in controversial circumstances in 2010 in South Africa but will be meeting Korea Republic for the first in the World Cup finals.

The Business mogul took to social media to react to the draw with maximum optimism.

“The Black Stars of Ghana Been in the same Group stage With Uruguay, Portugal and south Korea will not be an Easy Fight But The Black Stars of Ghana Will make us proud. Go Otto Addo, Go #GhanaBlackstars !!,” He wrote on Facebook

The Black Stars will tackle Portugal in the opening game of the Group, play Korea in the second Group match before locking horns with 1930 winners, Uruguay.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held from 21 November to 18 December 2022 across five cities.
