Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC captain Ibrahim Danlad has reacted to his team’s first win of the season in the Ghanaian top-flight after four games.
The skipper of the Porcupine Warriors expressed his excitement following his team’s last-gasp win over Accra Lions FC on Monday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Danlad described the win as a big win and applauded his teammates for a big team efforts to ensure the club’s first three points in a game.
“A big away victory for us. Great team effort, plus 3 points and a clean sheet,” he wrote on social media.
Kalo Ouattara scored the opening and the only goal for Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC against Accra Lions FC on Monday afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He scored very late in the encounter to power the Porcupine Warriors past the fragile Lions to secure all three points for the away team.
His goal secured the Kumasi-based club their first win in four games this season in the Ghana Premier League after two draws and a defeat in the first three matches.
Asante Kotoko will square off against Aduana FC on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi for match week five of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League. Meanwhile, Accra Lions will face Great Olympics as guests on the same day.
