Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah has chosen not to confirm whether he will participate in the upcoming Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential elections.
The current administration, led by Kurt Okraku, will conclude their tenure in October this year.
Elections are scheduled to take place later this year, with Kurt Okraku expected to seek re-election.
Kojo Yankah, the former chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, has announced his intention to run in the upcoming elections.
When asked about his candidacy, Nana Yaw Amponsah replied, “I cannot predict the future, but for now, I am focused on completing my responsibilities at Asante Kotoko. When the time comes, we will assess the situation.”
Bernard Nana Yaw Amofa Jantuah, the financier of Berekum Chelsea, a team in the Ghana Premier League, has also confirmed his interest in running for the presidential elections.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has yet to release a roadmap outlining the procedures for the upcoming elections.
