Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has commended Enoch Morrison for his remarkable contributions to the team’s recent successes.
Despite being deployed in an unfamiliar role, Morrison, formerly of King Faisal, has impressed the coaching staff with his adaptability and performance.
Due to multiple injuries within the team, the technical team led by Ogum had to utilize Morrison as a defensive midfielder in recent matches against Samartex and Legon Cities, both of which ended in victories for Kotoko.
Following their 2-0 win over Legon Cities, Ogum specifically lauded Morrison for his standout displays on the field.
“It’s a testament to his versatility and dedication, which is a boon for both him and the technical team. When we faced midfield challenges, Morrison volunteered for the role, and he has delivered excellently,” Ogum remarked.
“We’ve been providing him with tactical guidance, and he’s been receptive. Moving forward, we want him to contribute more in the attack, not just defensively. He’s a valuable asset to the team,” Ogum added.
The victory against Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Stadium marked another successful outing for Asante Kotoko, securing three crucial points.
Since their meeting with owner Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu following a string of poor results, the team has shown resilience, remaining unbeaten. Sunday’s triumph marked their second win in three games.
Goals from Steven Desse Mukwala and defender Nurudeen Yussif Mohammed propelled the Ghanaian giants to victory.
Asante Kotoko currently occupies the tenth position on the Ghana Premier League table with 40 points from 29 matches.
