Asante Kotoko’s assistant coach, David Ocloo, expressed satisfaction with the team’s narrow 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.
The win marked Kotoko’s third consecutive victory, with Uganda international Steven Desse Mukwala securing the only goal.
Ocloo emphasized the importance of securing three points, acknowledging the team’s missed opportunities in the first half.
“It’s a hard-fought win but the most important thing is the three points. Steven Mukwala is on fire but in the first half we could have scored three but it unfortunate we couldn’t convert those obvious chances that came our way,” he told StarTimes after the game.
Asante Kotoko currently sits in 7th place in the league standings with 19 points after 13 games.
Their upcoming challenge is against Hearts of Oak in week 14 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
