Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare expresses displeasure with club’s current league position

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Frederick Asare, has voiced his dissatisfaction with the current standing of the club in the Ghana Premier League.

Despite a turbulent start to the new league campaign, the Porcupine Warriors have shown improvement in recent months, securing consecutive wins and currently holding the third position on the league table.

In a statement to Asante Kotoko’s media team, goalkeeper Frederick Asare expressed his discontent, stating that being in the third position is not satisfactory for the renowned Ghanaian club. He believes that, given the club’s stature, they should be leading the division.

“I don’t think it’s a good position for us. Kotoko is a big club, and finishing third in the first round is unsatisfactory. We should have been first or second on the table by now, but in all, we didn’t start the season. We believe things are going to change in the second round,” said goalkeeper Frederick Asare.

With just three points behind the current league leaders, Kotoko remains optimistic about their chances of clinching the league title at the end of the campaign.
