Opoku Nti, a renowned figure at Asante Kotoko, has expressed his views on the ongoing comparison between goalkeepers Danlad Ibrahim and Frederick Asare, stating that it is premature to draw any conclusions about the two players.
He urged critics to refrain from spreading unfounded claims and mentioned that he firmly believes Danlad Ibrahim possesses superior experience and credentials compared to Frederick Asare.
Opoku Nti conveyed these statements during an interview with Oyerepa Sports, stressing that it is unjustifiable to juxtapose a seasoned goalkeeper who has climbed up the ranks and established himself as the number one, with a newcomer.
“When someone goes through the ranks to become a number 1 goalkeeper and there is another person now coming, you cannot say this one is better than the one at the top already.
“Experience wise Danlad is there. It’s too early to do such comparisons. Sometimes you people do propaganda too much.
“I still think Danlad has something more than Frederick Asare. Although every goalkeeper can make a mistake I still think Danlad Ibrahim is more mature. I believe Danlad has more pedigree,” Opoku Nti said in an interview with Oyerepa Sports.
