Asante Kotoko midfielder, Kyei Dwamena, is set for a six-week absence from action following an injury sustained during the match against Karela United.
Dwamena was forced to exit the field during the game against Karela United after suffering a Jones Fracture in his left foot.
The club confirmed the extent of his absence through an official statement released on their website.
“Michael Kyei Dwamena will be sidelined for six weeks due to an injury suffered last Saturday. The midfielder was substituted before the end of our match against Karela United in Nalerigu, following a harsh challenge. A thorough medical assessment conducted by the club’s medical staff revealed that the midfielder has sustained a ‘Jones Fracture of the left foot’,” the club stated.
Dwamena’s injury adds to the list of sidelined players, which includes winger Isaac Agyapong and Sherif Mohammed, as the team prepares for their upcoming match against Accra Lions midweek.
