The Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko SC, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has stated that the club currently operates with just 1% of Al Ahly’s annual budget.
According to the young and hard-working CEO, the Porcupine Warriors need only five percent of the Egyptian powerhouse’s annual total budget of $89K to enable them compete favourly with them.
Speaking on Ceek, the 2019 Ghana FA Presidential candidate on Wednesday, he said “A team like Al Ahly operates within an 89 million dollars budget annually. If I have 5% of their budget to run Asante Kotoko, this management will compete favourly with Al- Alhy,”

“We are operating around 1% of AI- Ahly’s annual budget.” He added.
Asante Kotoko currently are on top of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League standings with 30 points after playing 14 games.
