Asante Kotoko has agreed to a deal with Legon Cities to sign midfielder Samuel Tenedu for a fee of GHc180,000, the club’s latest coup in the transfer market.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder impressed in the Ghana Premier League last season, making 30 appearances and helping Legon Cities avoid relegation.
Tenedu’s impressive performances have attracted attention from several clubs, but Kotoko has been determined to secure his signature for the upcoming season.
According to local transfer expert Mo Shaban, the two clubs have reached an agreement and the deal is expected to be finalized this week.
The former Ebony FC midfielder will undergo a medical examination before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Porcupines should he pass the mandatory test.
This signing is expected to be a significant boost for Kotoko as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
