Asante Kotoko are close to appointing Dr Kwame Baah-Nuakoh as their new Chief Executive Officer, as the club moves to strengthen its leadership ahead of the upcoming season.

The Ghana Premier League side has been without a permanent CEO since the exit of Nana Yaw Amponsah. In the meantime, operations have been handled by an Interim Management Committee led by Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, with support from Kwesi Appiah and Malik Jabir.

Sources indicate that the club’s newly formed Board of Directors is finalising discussions to confirm Dr Baah-Nuakoh in the role before the start of the 2026/27 season. The board is expected to be chaired by James Osei Brown, with Kwasi Osei Ofori serving as vice-chairman.

Kofi Amoa-Abban, founder of Rigworld Group, is also set to be part of the board.
The club is additionally expected to appoint a new head coach before the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign begins.

Dr Baah-Nuakoh is no stranger to the Porcupine Warriors, having previously worked as the club’s International Relations Manager. He also serves as Chairman of the Club Licensing Committee, a position he has held since 2019, and has professional experience as a former General Manager for Sustainability at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation.
