In a significant development, the interim management committee (IMC) of Ghana Premier League club Asante Kotoko has successfully resolved the financial dispute with former head coach Seydou Zerbo.
The Burkina Faso national, who had previously threatened legal action against the club, has now confirmed the receipt of his rightful compensation.
After months of negotiations, Asante Kotoko has paid Zerbo a total of $9,000, equivalent to three months’ salary.
Zerbo confirmed the payment, stating, “I have now received all my monies. They have paid my salaries for three months. I have checked my account, and the money is there.”
With the financial matter resolved, there are no longer any outstanding issues, and Zerbo expressed his gratitude to the club’s management for settling the matter amicably.
He also wished the club and its fans the best moving forward.
