Asante Kotoko fans will celebrate the news of Stephen Mukwala ready to accept the club’s new deal to stay.
It has become a huge concern for the Fabolous family after the contract talks between the club and Mukwala’s entourage were at a deadlock.
Per Kessben Sports Desk, Ugandan forward Stephen Mukwala has agreed to extend his contract with Asante Kotoko.
The 24-year-old Ugandan speedster’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current season and Asante Kotoko has been able to convince Mukwala to extend his stay for a year subject to a discussion with his agent.
Mukwala joined Asante Kotoko in 2022 Summer from URA Kampala and has become a huge fan favourite with his athleticism.
The administration manager of the Club, Emmanuel Newton Dasosberi declared on Kessben FM a couple of weeks ago that Steve Mukwala has declined all offers for renewal from the club.
However, Kessben Sports has disclosed that the forward who joined the Cranes of Uganda for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers has agreed to renew his contract for Asante Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko fans will hope the forward will remain as he has proven to be their main man in attack.
Asante Kotoko is set to offer him a year and Mukwala and his agents are ready to accept the offer from the Porcupine Warriors.
