Asante Kotoko are set to reappoint experienced media executive David Obeng Nyarko as the club’s Communications Director / Brands Manager under the new administration ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Nyarko is expected to return to the same position he held during the tenure of former CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah, where he played a key role in managing the club’s media relations, public image and communication strategy.
His possible comeback comes as the Porcupine Warriors continue restructuring efforts aimed at restoring stability and professionalism across the club’s operations.
During his first spell, Nyarko was involved in improving Kotoko’s branding, digital communication and engagement with supporters. However, he left the club following leadership changes after Nana Yaw Amponsah’s exit, as several members of the previous administration departed.
The new leadership’s decision to bring him back reflects a desire for continuity and experience as Kotoko prepare for another challenging Ghana Premier League campaign.
If completed, Nyarko’s return will reunite him with the club and provide stability to the communications department as Kotoko begin a new era under head coach Eric Tinkler.
