The outstanding Ghana Premier League game between AshGold and Asante Kotoko will be played on 2nd June, 2022, the Ghana Football Association has confirmed.

The game will be played at the Len Clay Sports stadium at 3PM after it was initially postponed for security reasons.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced that the matchday 29 clash will take place on June 2 after it was called off last week on Monday afternoon.

“It must be noted, however, that should the security risk and the advice from the Security Services remain unchanged by the next home match of Ashantigold SC, the Association reserves the right to shift the home matches of Ashantigold SC to be played at the club’s selected alternative match venue,” GFA wrote on their website.

“The decision follows an intelligence report and advice from the Ghana Police Service. The Miners were scheduled to play their regional rivals at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Thursday, May 19, 2022,” the GFA announced.

“The Ghana Football Association would announce a new date in due course. Stakeholders are to take note and act accordingly.”
