AshantiGold SC Head coach Thomas Duah, has lauded attacker Yaw Annor’s impressive form in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
The promising attacker who is currently being chased by league leaders Asante Kotoko, over the weekend scored four goals in his side’s 5-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at the Len Clay Stadium.
The four goals in that game, increased Annor’s goals in the season to 16, two adrift to leading to scorer Franck Etouga Mbella of Asante Kotoko.
“Yaw Annor should have scored 50 goals by now, he has missed lots of chances this year, even in the game against Chelsea where he netted 4 goals, he missed many chances. I believe his goals should be more than the 16 he has scored,” Duah told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Meanwhile, the former Ghana international, has slammed Ghanaian football fanatics over comments that the Miners recent impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League is due to “match-fixing”.
Duah says it’s disrespectful for anyone to discredit his team’s performance and make such unpleasant comments. He adds that only people who want his downfall would make such comments against the Obuasi-based club who have been in top form especially in their last four games where they have scored 12 goals.
