Spanish club Atletico Madrid have reportedly expressed interest in Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus as they prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old West Ham United star has attracted attention from multiple clubs, including Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr. Kudus is now believed to be a priority target for Atletico manager Diego Simeone, who is looking to strengthen his squad in hopes of challenging Real Madrid and Barcelona for La Liga titles.
Sources from England indicate that initial contact has been made between Atletico Madrid and the representatives of Kudus regarding a possible move.
Kudus has had a mixed season in the Premier League, scoring four goals and registering three assists in 30 appearances. Despite a slight dip in performance compared to previous campaigns, he continues to draw interest from elite clubs, including newly crowned Premier League champions Liverpool.
Back in January, Al Nassr showed strong interest in signing Kudus on deadline day, but West Ham declined to release the Ghanaian playmaker.
Since joining the Hammers from Ajax in 2023, Kudus has established himself as a vital part of the team at the London Olympic Stadium.
