Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye delivered a brilliant performance for AS Saint-Étienne on Saturday, helping his side to a comfortable 3-0 win over Pau FC in the French second division. The exciting encounter took place at the Nouste Camp, where Saint-Étienne showed quality and confidence from start to finish.

Boakye was at the heart of everything good his team did on the day. The 23-year-old midfielder provided two important assists, setting up two of the three goals scored by Saint-Étienne. His vision, calmness on the ball, and smart passing helped his team control the pace of the game. Whenever Saint-Étienne moved forward, Boakye was involved, either by winning the ball, keeping possession, or creating chances for his teammates.

The 3-0 victory was not just about the goals, but also about teamwork and discipline. Saint-Étienne looked sharp in attack and solid in defence. Boakye’s performance stood out because he was always available for the ball and made the right decisions at the right time. His two assists showed his growing confidence and maturity as an attacking midfielder. He played with energy and intelligence, making it difficult for Pau FC to stop him.

This season has been a very good one for the Ghanaian star. Boakye has now scored five goals and provided seven assists in the league. That brings his total goal contributions to 12 in Ligue 2. His impressive numbers place him joint-second among the top contributors in the league. For a young midfielder, this is a big achievement and a clear sign of his development.

Boakye’s consistent performances in France are also important for his international dreams. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to take place in North America, he will be hoping to catch the attention of the Ghana national team selectors. Strong displays like the one against Pau FC only increase his chances of earning a call-up. If he continues in this form, he could become an important player for both his club and country in the near future.

Saint-Étienne’s latest win has strengthened their position in the league as they push for promotion. With players like Augustine Boakye performing at a high level, the team looks determined to finish the season strongly. Ghanaian football fans will be proud to see one of their own shining abroad and making headlines with hard work and talent.
