Christophe Pélissier, the head coach of Auxerre, heaped praises on Elisha Owusu following his excellent debut at the club.
The Ghanaian made a switch from KAA Gent during the winter transfer window and was given his first start against Chamois Niortais.
He was immense as Auxerre ran away 4-0 winners in the Coupe de France to make it to the round of 16.
“Elisha Owusu showed why we had taken him.” I really liked his state of mind.” Christophe Pélissier said after the game.
Owusu lasted 71 minutes on the pitch. Goals from Matthis Abline, Gaëtan Perrin, Nuno Da Costa and Gaëtan Perrin was enough for the Ligue 1 side to triumph over Niort.
