Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that highly-rated Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah will return to the Catalan giants following the completion of his loan spell with Barcelona Atlètic.
The 19-year-old is expected to report back to Spain this weekend before linking up with Hansi Flick’s squad for pre-season training on Monday, according to Spanish outlet Diario Sport.
Issah enjoyed an encouraging campaign with Barcelona Atlètic, scoring four goals and providing one assist in 20 appearances despite the reserve side’s challenging season.
The former Dreams FC winger will now be assessed by the club’s technical team as Barcelona decide whether to integrate him into the senior squad or sanction another loan move to continue his development.
Having already completed two loan spells with the Spanish champions, the talented Ghanaian remains one of the country’s brightest young prospects and will be hoping to impress during pre-season as he pushes for a breakthrough at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
