Ghana head coach, Otto Addo says he feels very honoured to have been offered the chance to coach the Black Stars.
The German-trained coach was offered the national team job on an interim basis following Ghana’s poor campaign at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Addo swiftly organized the team and guided the Black Stars to overcome the Super Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Due to that, Otto Addo has now been offered the Black Stars job on a permanent basis.
Speaking to transfermarkt, the coach says he feels very honoured.
“The association had already asked me as a coach in February, but at that time the priority on its part was initially on a personality that was to work firmly for Ghana. For me, the offer was a great honor,” Coach Otto Addo said.
The former Black Stars player who works with Dortmund added, “However, I also made it clear from the beginning in the discussions that my priority is BVB, but I can imagine the job interim and in a double function.”
Otto Addo will be on the sidelines when Ghana begins the campaign in the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON.
