Belgian-born Ghanaian attacking midfielder Desmond Acquah, has extended his contract with Belgian to-flight side OH Leuven for the next three seasons, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old youth product will continue to wear the Leuven colours until at least 2026.
The talented midfielder has been playing for OH Leuven since 2016, where he went through all youth levels.
The midfielder currently plays for the U23 of OH Leuven. Acquah made 29 appearances in the Eerste Nationale last season, scoring three goals.
Academy Manager of OH Leuven Henk Mariman is excited with Acquah’s extended stay at the club. “Desmond has been playing with our youth academy for a long time and has already taken the step to the promises at a young age.
He added ”This season he is knocking on the door of the first team and he can take the step forward.”
Desmond Acquah is expected to play a key role for the U23 side when the Eerste Nationale new season starts next week.
