Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus expressed his confidence in thriving at West Ham United and in the English Premier League, attributing his success to his self-belief.
In an interview with West Ham media after the Hammers’ final game of the 2023-2024 Premier League season, which ended in a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City, Kudus reflected on his journey. Despite the loss, which saw Manchester City clinch their fourth consecutive EPL title, Kudus scored a stunning overhead kick as a consolation goal for West Ham.
Kudus acknowledged his teammates and outgoing manager David Moyes but emphasized the importance of his own self-belief since joining from Ajax Amsterdam. “Big credit to myself for believing in myself and putting in the effort day in, day out,” Kudus stated.
He continued, “You can only get better. I am still far off how I see myself performing in this league and doing my best, so it’s good to get the first season on the run, but I have a long way to go and there is more stuff coming ahead.”
In his debut EPL season, Kudus demonstrated his talent by scoring eight goals and providing six assists, laying a strong foundation for future success.
