Portuguese giants Benfica FC and French club Olympique Marseille are in tough battle for the signature Ghanaian youngster Pierre Dwomoh during the summer transfer window.

According to Niels De Jonck Kimpen, the 17-year old talented midfielder has emerged as top transfer taret for the two clubs.

“Marseille and Benfica have shown a lot of interest in him,” Kimpen told FclnterNews

Dwomoh made his professional debut with Genk in a 2-0 Belgian First Division A win over Kortrijk. On 27 August 2021, he signed a five-year contract with Antwerp.

Born in Belgium to Ghanaian parents, Dwomoh has represented Belgium at under-15 and under-17 levels. He, hwoever, remain eligible to represent Ghana’s senior national team – Black Stars vis nationality switch in future.
