Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has joined the Black Stars camp in Japan ahead of the international friendly against Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup.
Asare arrived on Thursday morning and is expected to participate in the team’s final training session at Toyota Stadium in Aichi. His arrival completes the squad, bringing the total number of players in camp to 22.
The goalkeeper played a key role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, appearing in six matches and keeping five clean sheets. The Black Stars are scheduled to face Japan on Friday, November 14, 2025, before taking on South Korea four days later as part of their preparations for next year’s World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
